Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Mining Geologists to join us and specifically are seeking a quality candidate to take up a position as Project Coal Geologist.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide geological input into scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
• Carry out technical work in support of due diligence reviews supporting mergers, acquisitions and coal supply contracts
• Coal geology data acquisition, interpretation and analysis, and participation in the preparation of resource models and estimates.
• Geological input into reports for feasibility studies, technical reviews, due diligence studies, etc.
• Liaise with mining engineers, resource geologists, and specialists from other disciplines or offices with Golder Associates
• Travelling both domestically and internationally as required to support project work or for training
• Assistance with business development, including liaison with current or potential clients, and attendance at professional meetings.
• Assistance with other non-coal duties as may be required from time to time.
Job Requirements:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
• Bachelor degree in Geology
• Desirable other relevant post graduate qualification in either business or relevant technical discipline
• Relevant experience in coal, either U/G or O/C or both
• Aspiring to CP status under the JORC Code for coal
• Developing computing skills
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Previous consulting experience is an advantage but is not essential
• Demonstrable commitment to safety
