Member of Geotechnical group to carry out fieldwork as part of geotechnical investigations. Duties may include but not be limited to: - Recording of ground conditions (logging) from drilling of boreholes, excavation of test pits, hand augering, dynamic cone penetrometers testing. - Installation of instrumentation equipment, including piezometers, inclinometers, etc. - Carrying out specialist in situ tests eg. pressuremeter, packer tests - Preparation of factual data for reporting - Assist in laboratory with testing in peak times, if required - Assist with other fieldwork duties as and when required (such as surveying) This work will be project dependent and will involve some travelling outside Brisbane.
