Job Description:

Reporting to the Superintendent of Procurement, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing and managing procurement activities as they relate to contractors, suppliers and business partners for Timmins Operations, Canadian Exploration and Closed Sites; ensures obligations regarding health, safety, environmental protection, community reputation and overall sustainable development are met. 

Note: Temporary assignment to be reassessed after 1 year.

 Key accountabilities include:

• Ensures Compliance with the Delegated Authorities Manual
• Ensures compliance with the Procurement Policies and Processes Manual
• Maintains a 2 year Procurement Plan for Contract Services and Contract renewals
• Oversees the Contractor Accreditation process
• Established and Negotiates contract service agreements
• Maintains contractor scorecards and performance metrics
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• A post secondary degree in Business Administration or Engineering; or diploma with relevant level of experience.
• Highly motivated, possessing negotiation, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a diverse environment with minimal supervision.
• Good working knowledge of PC based programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The highest degree of ethical standards and professionalism.
• Certification to the PMAC Professional Development Program requirement is an asset.
