Job Description:

The Oaky North Mine currently has a vacancy for a Longwall Mining Coordinator to form part of the Longwall department reporting to the Longwall Superintendent. This position is on roster and has become available due to an increase in Longwall Production.

 

As the successful applicant you will be primarily responsible for planning and coordinating all mining activities in the Longwall department, you will also have the ability to efficiently schedule and communicate longwall activities and targets to ensure optimum production and safety. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the mine operating procedures, standards and statutory requirements are met on a daily basis.

 

 With experience underground coal mining (mandatory), 1- 2 years experience in a similar position (mandatory) and a third class certificate of competency (desirable). These credentials are complemented by your genuine commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
