Due to continued success of this Newcastle office, my client is currently looking for experienced Civil Designers to join their team.  Working on major transportation projects in the region, you will have the opportunity to apply your exceptional design skills in a diverse project team primarily while enjoying all the additional benefits of this affordable and desirable coastal city.  Your responsibilities will include working on submissions for urban and rural roads, highways, railways, mining and associated facilities.

You will join a team of respected professionals in an organisation that has a strong commitment to its people, clients and performance.  They are currently considering people with all levels of experience who meet the below criteria:

• Previous experience in the design of roads and highways projects, to RTA standards using MX and/or 12D.
• Design of rail projects using Bentley RailTrack within Australia.
• Design of mining surface infrastructure in Australia.

You will have a proven background  of:

• General civil design and drafting delivered on time and to a high quality.
• Working effectively with all levels of staff, management and clients.
• developing long term, trust based relationships with clients
• A Sound knowledge and appreciation of Safety and Quality Assurance (QA).

You will have a high level of self-motivation, energy and confidence, and a willingness to be part of project teams in a commercial environment.   You will be flexible in your approach to challenges and possess a proven ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external clients.
