Celebrating 100 years this year, we are seeking a motivated and reliable person to become a member of our successful Engineering team in our Adelaide branch.

Ideally, you will have a trade background as a fitter and turner or boilermaker and be experienced in scoping and coordinating job shop production activities.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will:

  • Have experience with in-house and sub-contract manufacturing activities
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced with Quality assurance processes for the batch manufacture of fabricated and/or machine products
  • Demonstrate experience in project planning, scoping and co-ordination of job shop production activities
  • Be proficient in MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • MS Project knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Have high level communication skills
  • Have a “hands on” approach
  • Be flexible with a high focus on customer service

You will be autonomous but also work effectively in a team environment.
This full time, permanent position is ideal for a creative, highly motivated and proactive individual who can provide a valuable contribution to Nobles’ day to day and long term operations.

Key requirements and attributes include:

  • A trade background as a fitter and turner or boilermaker highly regarded
  • Experience with in-house and sub-contract manufacturing activities
  • Experience with Quality assurance processes for the batch manufacture of fabricated and/or machined products
  • Administration experience in costing jobs in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in project planning, scoping and coordination of job shop production activities
  • MS Office proficiency with intermediate to advanced Excel
  • MS Project knowledge desirable
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation skills and accuracy of work
  • Working knowledge of in-house ERP systems and managing and updating engineering project databases
