Job Description:

A staff vacancy currently exists in our Zinc Open Pit Technical Services Department for a suitably qualified Survey Technician. This position is fully residential and based in Mount Isa Queensland.

 

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the successful applicant will assist the Survey Department with daily survey related tasks, ensuring prompt and timely delivery of Survey Setouts and the maintenance of daily survey data inputs. They will also be responsible for the maintenance and care of survey equipment, suitable levels of survey consumables, and actively participate in safety improvement programs and risk assessment processes. The participation in planning meetings and discussions will also be required.

 

The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, the ability to work to strict deadlines and be detail minded with the ability to manage and control documentation and data systems. You will also possess a strong degree of computer literacy skills along with the ability to work in a team environment.
