This position is: Contract
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
Position Location: Houston, TX
The Applications Engineer evaluates the customer’s specifications and/or develops specifications by evaluation of the customer’s process and equipment, creates a proposal and develops a quote for a cost-effective control solution.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
BSEE or equivalent degree required
Candidate must have basic knowledge of:
Basic laws of physics, i.e., simple machines, calculation of forces both linear and rotational, etc.
Knowledge of 3 phase 600 V or less industrial power distribution
Ability to work independently
Excellent time management skills in order to meet deadlines
Must maintain good working relationship with other departments such as Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Production
Experience:
3 to 5 years of applying adjustable speed drives and electrical controls in the oil and gas drilling industry
Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required
