Whiting is seeking a career orientated Environmental Professional specializing in environmental permitting and compliance for upstream oil and gas industry. This position is avail. at Whiting’s Corporate Office in Denver.
Position Summary
• Knowledgeable with federal, state, and local environ. regulatory programs incl CWA, CAA and state specific O&G req.
• Prepare, apply and manage all required permits.
• Prepare company policies and guidance documents.
• Track, evaluate and comment on changes to environmental rule and laws that affect Whiting’s Operations.
• Direct spill response, cleanup and reporting activities
• Oversee on-site environmental contractor activities
• Maintain a respectful working relationship with regulatory agencies and respond to their requests and actions
• Conduct environmental training, record keeping and reporting.
• Provide guidance to operations staff regarding company policies and applicable regulations Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer’s License preferred.
• Minimum of 5 - 10 year experience in Environmental in the oil and gas industry
• Up to 25% travel may be required.
