Job Summary This position is responsible for performing personnel administrative functions, approve employment of exempt and nonexempt personnel, approve salary actions of exempt and nonexempt personnel, participate in the corrective action process, and develop skills of subordinates to attain maximum staff flexibility and promotion to management.     Essential Functions Advise and cooperate with all other mine and exploration departments and assist in overall exploration and mine management trough interaction with other departments Lead Exploration Department in a manner that would promote achieving safety and production goals Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in job performance   Qualifications & Skills Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or equivalent required. A Masters with economic geology emphasis is preferred Knowledge of exploration techniques as they apply to mineral deposit discovery and evaluation Demonstrated management, technical and strong supervisory skills Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
