Position Description EXPERIENCE
  • Experienced Reverse Circulation driller/foreman in Nevada-type formations. Water well experience and well license strongly preferred.
  • Has supervisory experience as a Reverse Circulation rig foreman or lead driller (6 years minimum experience.)
  • Has knowledge of Reverse Circulation in-hole tools and drilling techniques, including flooded reverse.
  • Can handle routine maintenance and minor repairs to Reverse Circulation rigs (i.e. Schramm T685 and Schramm 450 track rig.)
POSITION DUTIES
  • Make sure rig is being run safely, help with problems, breakdowns, parts and spares, daily reports, ensure routine maintenance is being done, and schedule crews/rigs.
  • Ensure crews are trained in safe work procedures. Regularly conduct safety inspections on rigs.
  • Promptly report and investigate all incidents and near misses.
  • Work with warehouse to make sure adequate parts are in stock and that we are keeping the jobs stocked.
  • Must be able to liaise with the client representative in planning and organizing the drilling program.
  • Establish relationships with potential clients by visiting possible jobsites, reviewing the sites, meeting the clients, and giving input to office for bidding.
  • Help with new equipment by setting it up and deciding what to buy.  Give input for new breakout methods.
  • Identify unsatisfactory crew performance and take prompt action to rectify the situation.
  • Recognize strengths and limitations of the crew and delegate appropriately.
