Job Description:

Magma Metals Limited is a TSX and ASX listed mineral exploration company with precious and base metals projects in Ontario and Western Australia. Magma’s flagship property is the Thunder Bay North platinum-palladium-copper-nickel project in Ontario. A well-funded and experienced exploration team based in Magma’s Thunder Bay office is undertaking a major exploration program on this project to increase the size of the current mineral resource. A significant regional exploration program is also in progress in the Thunder Bay area.

Magma requires a Geophysicist with around 8-12 years of relevant experience to work with the Thunder Bay exploration group. This is a staff position based in the Thunder Bay exploration office and reporting to the Exploration Manager.

The ideal candidate will have most of the following attributes:

• Excellent qualifications in exploration geophysics;
• 8-12 years post-graduate exploration geophysics and modeling experience;
• Extensive practical experience and expertise with borehole pulse electromagnetic surveys, ground and airborne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys;
• Experience with IP, gravity and other geophysical survey techniques;
• Experience and knowledge of Ni-Cu-PGE exploration and geology;
• Excellent knowledge of geophysical computing software such as Oasis Montaj, Maxwell, and UBC GIF modeling packages;
• Knowledge and familiarity with GIS software such as MapInfo;
• High levels of personal energy and enthusiasm with the ability to work independently and as an integral part of an exploration team; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
