Refinery Overview

 

Alliance refinery is located 20 miles south of New Orleans on Highway 23.  The refinery was built in 1971 and is one of the last world-scale grassroots refineries built in the United States. The facility is specifically designed and constructed for highly efficient operations that refine crude oil into gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.

 

Responsibility

 

Implement Maintenance Excellence Strategies to effectively execute Routine maintenance and reliability improvements utilizing Operations Directed Maintenance Plan (ODM) - Work Process.  Ensure activities are consistent with Conoco Core Values and aligned with Alliance Refinery goals.

 

Principal Accountabilities

  

This position may be responsible for the following:

  • Develop cross-plant Maintenance Strategies through networking with other Maintenance Supervisors, Routine Supt, TA Manager, and Business Team Leads
  • Implement ODM tactics within the area
  • Be the Single Point of Contact for operations to Maintenance, Mech. Engineering, and Reliability
  • Lead Backlog discussions that include routine work, TA scope, Cat Changes, Decokes, etc within the area
  • Accountable for the cost and execution of the Maintenance budget.
    Manage MI Inspections, Overdue Inspections, and MI Deficiencies
  • Develop and analyze Area Maintenance O&O budgets/costs
  • Identify and Prioritize Expense Projects for approvals and execution
  • Implement strategies and tactics for manpower allocation and control
  • Implement maintenance safety practices
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and plant procedures by maintenance craft workers
  • Utilize conflict resolution to build a high performing team of operations, crafts, engineers, and salaried maintenance
  • Develop Leadership and Technical Expertise of salaried maintenance personnel
  • Provide leadership for Core Value initiatives including safety teams, incident investigations, environmental processes, and Valuing All People

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  

  • Legally authorized to work in US

  • HS Diploma

  • 5+ years experience in general maintenance processes for a refinery or chemical plant
  • Expertise in overhaul of plant equipment
  • Knowledge of pertinent PSM and MI procedures and expectations.

This position requires you to have a TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) to gain access to secure areas of Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulated facilities and vessels. Any candidate selected for this position will not be allowed to begin work without a valid TWIC card or proof of a card "in transit" or "in production" from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
