Headquartered in Houston, Texas, ConocoPhillips stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "COP." Refinery Overview Alliance refinery is located 20 miles south of New Orleans on Highway 23.  The refinery was built in 1971 and is one of the last world-scale grassroots refineries built in the United States. The facility is specifically designed and constructed for highly efficient operations that refine crude oil into gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. Position Overview Implement the daily Maintenance Work Plan per the Operation Directed Maintenance (ODM) Work Process. Responsible for front-line supervision of Machinist Craft Workers. Manage field maintenance activities to enable optimum craft and contractor performance. Ensure activities are consistent with Conoco Core Values, aligned with Alliance Refinery goals, and in compliance with ODM. This position may be responsibe for the following: Responsibilities 

  • Direct maintenance Craft Workers and contractors in performance of the daily Maintenance Work Plan.
  • Screen approved Notifications for priorities and needed engineering/planning activities.  Establish the daily and weekly Work Plans in partnership with the Planner/Scheduler, and Operations Supervisors.
  • Supervise and coordinate workload among assigned craft workers in the day-to-day implementation of Work Plans.
  • Assist in planning of manpower, material and equipment for routine maintenance, projects and turnarounds.
  • Identify and expedite material, tools, and/or equipment shortages during Work Order Execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and plant procedures by maintenance craft workers.
  • Constructively resolve priority and conflict issues with Operations, Planners, and Craft Workers. 
  • Ensure, and coordinate regulatory training and professional development of maintenance Craft Workers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental documentation procedures and requirements. Seek opportunities to maximize unit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership for Core Value initiatives including safety teams, incident investigations, environmental processes, and Valuing All People
  • Assess and develop overall skills of the assigned craft workers for both technical and soft skill needs.
  • Facilitate RCFA's for all rotating equipment failures in respective plant Area.
  

 

Qualifications

  Required Qualifications 
  • Legally authorized to work in US
  • HS Diploma
  • 5+ years experience in rotating equipment
  • Expertise in overhaul of plant rotating equipment
  • Knowledge of pertinent PSM and MI procedures and expectations.
  • This position requires you to have a TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) to gain access to secure areas of Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) regulated facilities and vessels. Any candidate selected for this position will not be allowed to begin work without a valid TWIC card or proof of a card "in transit" or "in production" from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Working knowledge of SAP PM and MM modules
  • 10+ years experience in rotating equipment
  • Ability to manage a diverse work force.
  • Effective communicator with good oral and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, identify critical tasks and establish priorities; strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to make well thought out decisions in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and respond to unforeseen changes in the work plan and initiate new plans as needed
  • Ability to translate strategies into tactics for the front line personnel
  • Establishes priorities and develops critical tasks
  • Understands and uses functional expertise to contribute to the success of the business
  • Accepts ownership, is accountable, and delivers on commitments
  • Encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Has ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues in a timely manner
