This compensation package couples with an extended mine life makes Newmont a great employment opportunity. As a Dewatering Tech VI you will be responsible for the installation, removal, and routine mechanical repairs of pumps and the installation, removal and repair of water lines. Essential job duties include:

• Operate dynalifts, forklifts, Cat 996 loader, mobile crane, cable spooler, McElroy hydraulic fusion machine, backhoes, and other excavators.
• Comply with state and federal safety and environmental regulations and Newmont's polices and procedures.
• Demonstrate ability to take dewatering projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Proficient at pipe fitting, well head fabrication and structural strength item welding.
• Proficient at the installation and trouble shooting of line shaft turbine motors.
• Proficient at the installation and trouble shooting of submersible trash pumps.
• Proficient in the diagnosis and troubleshoot of pump and waterline problems.
• Demonstrate the ability to calculate angels to fit pipe with little waste.
• Perform installation and removal of portable pumps and water standpipes.
• Proficient with lowering water wells, rigging and hoisting procedures.
• Proficient at HDPE pipe welding and HDPE pipe pressure requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed to ensure optimal safe operation.
• Extensive knowledge of dewatering standard operating procedures.
• Install and troubleshoot Godwin and Thompson self-priming pumps.
• Proficient at repairing pumps, motors and dewatering equipment.
• Proficient at all aspects of water well installation.
• Ability to assume a leadership and training role.
• Requisition needed parts as needed.
• Setup and operate well service rig.

Qualifications

 Must demonstrate the skills to perform the Dewatering Tech V essential duties and have a minimum of six months as a Dewatering Tech V or have ten years of relevant experience.
