Job Description:

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Responsibilities include: The successful candidate will manage Cortez site training team to identify, develop, implement and maintain training solutions/programs and processes. Support effective safe and sustainable operations. Create and execute annual training plans and budgets that support the achievement of site and regional goals. Develop effective training staff. Measure, evaluate, and report training effectiveness. Use blended learning model to deliver training that closes skill and knowledge gaps. Maintain and update division policies and procedures. Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lead initiatives as required. Implement systems related to learning management. Support other Barrick sites as required. 


SELECTION CRITERIA 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements: 

• Experience with training programs/systems required 
• Project implementation/management experience required 
• Experience in curriculum development and standards as well as performing training needs analysis and experience using the ADDIE model preferred 
• Ability to transfer knowledge to varied learning types with experience in presenting and initiating training sessions. Platform skills to deliver training/coaching preferred 
• Five (5) years experience in development of training programs and deployment plans preferred 
• Five (5) years previous experience in mining or maintenance environment preferred 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required with ability to interact with all levels of management and personnel 
• Supervisory experience preferred 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred 
• Demonstrable ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
