  • Develop and design a Corporate Resiliency and Crisis Management program from the ground up.
  • Implement, document, maintain and update Resiliency/ Crisis Management processes and plans.
  • Manage and oversee Corporate Resiliency and Crisis Management programs globally.
  • Identify, develop and implement Resiliency/ Crisis Management Teams and Resiliency/ Crisis Management Training.
  • Ensure Business Unit/Location alignment with Company's Resiliency/ Crisis Management Framework.
  • Provide Resiliency/ Crisis Management plan updates to Steering/Executive Committee on an annual basis.
  • Implement Resiliency/ Crisis Management tools and best practices processes.
  • Develop and facilitate exercises either directly or through coordinators to validate preparedness.
  • Manage, facilitate and integrate response at time of crisis.
  • Maintain external relationships to take advantage of best practices and partnerships.
  • Liaise and coordinate crisis response activities with Health and Safety, Corporate Communications, Risk Management, Information Technology, Security, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources and other functions to optimize processes and delivery of Resiliency/ Crisis Management Program services.
  • Integrate existing cross-functional activities relative to Resiliency/ Crisis Management, as members of the team (not from organizational perspective).
  • Promote enterprise Resiliency/ Crisis Management awareness throughout the company.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing alternative communication channels to be used during a crisis.
  • Assist in monitoring the Resiliency/ Crisis Management program as it relates to audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Attend internal/ external meetings, seminars, conventions, etc., to expand professional expertise and maintain professional contacts that support assigned functions.
Position will require some travel and off-hour, on-call support (on an as needed basis). The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.  WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Position may require significant amount of writing and keyboard use involving repetitive motions with fingers and sitting for prolonged periods of time. 
  • Position requires extensive use of the telephone and face-to-face communications, which requires accurate perception of speech.
  • Overtime may be required, especially during the time of a disaster. 
  • Occasional travel to other corporate offices may be required.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Professional certifications, at minimum, CBCP, preferably also MBCP or FBCI.
  • 10+ years experience Resiliency and Crisis Management experience.
  • 3+ years experience with large project management.
  • 3+ years staff management experience, including hiring, performance reviews and firing authority.
  • Proven experience building/ elevating and managing a best in class, comprehensive, integrated Resiliency/ Crisis Management program within a large, multi-national corporation.
  • Participation in Crisis Response in a mid- to senior level role.
  • Ability to influence a wide range of management at all levels of the organization.
  • Record of delivering quality results in crisis situations, working under pressure and showing decisiveness in difficult situations.
  • Previously utilized metrics and measurement systems to measure the effectiveness/value of the program.
  • A record of developing strong working relationships with stakeholders and networks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and developmental skills, the ability to see and understand the big picture.
  • Self motivating and self directing.
  • Understand how to serve as a leader/ champion of a program with confidence and the ability to influence others without being too pushy or demanding.
  • Previous experience building/ managing/ influencing a team in a matrix organization while working towards a common goal.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with previous public speaking and board level presentation expertise.
  • The ability to work within a dynamic, broad, enterprise environment with flexibility in regards to practical application.
  • The ability to clearly communicate ideas and direction.
  • Ability to travel overseas.
  • DESIRED:
    • Preference will be given to candidates with a MBA degree.
    • Profit center management experience and budget responsibilities in managing a budget of over one million dollars.
    • A familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management, Change Management, Business Process Engineering and HAZMAT.
    • IT/ Disaster Recovery experience with regards to a broad understanding and the ability to interact with IT professionals.
    • Experience with automated notification systems and BCP software development tools.
    • Experience and an understanding of the Business Continuity Maturity Model.
    • Experience and an understanding of BS25999 organizational certification.
    • Bi-lingual expertise, Spanish preferred.
