GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION 

Responsibilities include: Look for opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and productivity in all areas of the mining operation and work with department general supervisors to implement action plans. Liaise between technical and operating departments for full implementation of mine and maintenance plan. Assume responsibility of equipment and contract acquisitions including, but not limited to, AFE preparation, Scope of Work preparation, etc. Contract management as needed normally in one off situations. You will be responsible for calculating and tracking monthly underground safe production incentive. 


SELECTION CRITERIA 


BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements: 
• Bachelor in Mine Engineering or related field required 
• Minimum of Five (5) years experience in an underground setting required. Ten years experience preferred 
• Operations experience with a focus on underground supervisory experience and short range planning preferred 
• Project management/contractor control experience required 
• Proven experience communicating throughout different levels of an underground organization required
