 Plutonic Gold Mine is located approximately 1000km north-east of Perth. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, gymnasium and sports oval. Telstra mobile and wireless broadband access available. This position is fly in/fly out from Perth on a 8 days on 6 days off roster. 

We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Production Engineer (Underground) with underground hard rock mining experience to join our team. 

The Production Engineer assists the Senior Mining Engineer with development and production scheduling and implementation. 

Key accountabilities will include: 

Maintaining the accuracy of the weekly and three monthly schedule by monitoring development and production activity 
Prepare weekly forecast of development and production 
Complete stope design and drill and blast plans 
Give directions and information regarding the production schedule to shift supervisors and foremen 
Ensure geologists are aware of stope design deadlines 
Ensure issued charge plans are clear, correct and understandable to operators and discuss planned firings with production charge up operators 

Qualifications & Skills: 

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering 
Underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine 
Exposure to Air leg, long hole open stope, room & pillar mining methods 
Understanding of geotechnical and ventilation design 
Experience with mine design software, preferably Vulcan 
Continuous improvement focus
